Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi confirmed dead.

Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi has met an untimely demise in a helicopter crash. The country's state media reported that the incident occurred in a remote, mountainous area of north-western Iran. President Raisi was accompanied by Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several others at the time of the tragic accident. 
The ill-fated helicopter was returning from Azerbaijan, where President Raisi had been engaged in a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. Initial reports suggested that the aircraft had experienced a rough landing amidst foggy conditions. However, further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.

President Raisi, a 63-year-old hard-line cleric who was known for his close association with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was seen by many as a potential successor to the 85-year-old leader. His election as president in 2021 solidified the control of conservatives over all aspects of the Islamic Republic.

As news of President Raisi's tragic demise spread, the capital city of Tehran was enveloped in mourning. Heart-wrenching images emerged, capturing individuals kneeling in prayer during vigils held in his honor.
Despite this immense loss, the Iranian government has assured the nation that it will continue to function without disruption. The search and rescue operation launched in the wake of the crash received assistance from countries including Russia and Turkey.

In a landmark move to integrate Islamic and Arabic languages into national vocational training, Sheikh Siraj Rahman College of Islamic Studies held a stakeholder meeting with TVET Curriculum Development Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC) to chart the development of a curriculum for levels 3 to 6 — covering certificate and diploma programs.
