Starting this July, all Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers will offer free education, marking a significant step towards ensuring every child has access to quality learning opportunities.

Governor Nassir's vision goes beyond just free education; it's about keeping children engaged in school to steer them away from idleness, which can lead to various societal challenges like insecurity and substance abuse. Moreover, the Governor's push to reinstate the "Mombasa Yangu" program signals a promising future for many young individuals in Mombasa County. The fee hike, from 10,000 to 300,000 Kenyan shillings, aims to deter the consumption of Muguka by making it less accessible to residents. Governor Achani's resolute stance reflects the collective effort to address drug-related challenges and promote a healthier environment in Kwale County.

In a landmark move to integrate Islamic and Arabic languages into national vocational training, Sheikh Siraj Rahman College of Islamic Studies held a stakeholder meeting with TVET Curriculum Development Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC) to chart the development of a curriculum for levels 3 to 6 — covering certificate and diploma programs. The meeting, which brought together educators, curriculum developers, and religious leaders, aimed to pave the way for the formal inclusion of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) and Arabic studies into the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system.
